Thanks to the tireless efforts of my pinning friends, dinner tonight was not only easy to prepare, but a big hit! Perusing Pinterest this afternoon, I stumbled upon a recipe for Honey Sesame Chicken that I just couldn’t resist and decided to give it a go. How could I resist? I had all of the ingredients on hand and you can’t get much easier than the cock pot!
Chicken breasts slow cooked in honey and soy sauce make for a super flavorful, meaty dinner. Brad’s only request was that next time I pair this with an Asian veggie side. It will, without a doubt, become a regular at our table.
After thawing four boneless skinless chicken breasts, I simply cut them into a few pieces each and set them in my crock pot on low and poured the remaining ingredients (honey, soy sauce, garlic, etc.) over the top. After 4 hours that left the house smelling nice and sweet, I opened up the crock pot and shredded the meat while I cooked up some white rice. Easy peasy!
I actually skipped dessert for a second helping… if that isn’t love, I’m not sure what is!
